When and how did you become a skeptic:

I don't really think a person can just become a skeptic. I think a person can hone her skeptical tools, and apply them to more and more areas of her life until she's living pretty much pseudoscience-free. It's more like a slow awakening. I started calling myself a skeptic in mid-2004, when I became more actively engaged in the skeptical community via the James Randi Educational Foundation.
